Civil Engineer Matt Walpole is the new Area Manager for Roger Bullivant Limited (RB) in the South East Region. Matt, who was previously with sister company Westpile, brings a deep knowledge of cast-in-situ piling to further develop this capability in the region.
After being part of the Bachy Soletanche Group scholarship scheme with the University of Surrey, Matt graduated with a master’s degree in civil engineering. He has had a diverse experience within the Soletanche Bachy Group, initially working with Bachy Soletanche in the Southern team, then seconded to a Soletanche Bachy major project at Wolf Creek Dam, Kentucky, USA. Matt then re-joined the Bachy Soletanche Southern division working on prestigious projects such as the Emirates Air Line.
Matt spent time with other Soletanche Bachy Business Units including Vibro Menard and the UK Major Projects division before taking an Operations Manager position at Westpile in 2013. Matt gained Chartered membership of the ICE in 2015, before taking the role as General Manager at Westpile in 2017 specialising in Continuous Flight Auger and Rotary Bored Piling nationwide. Matt continues to develop his business leadership skills by undertaking a part-time Executive MBA at the University of Surrey.
RB operates out of a central manufacturing facility in Derbyshire and at seven other specialist centres across the UK.
