Roger Bullivant Limited (RBL) is proud to announce its role in the Dracan Village project. This multi-million-pound, transformative venture, located on the largest brownfield site in the Midlands, by Countryside Partnerships encompasses 200 acres and will feature 2,000 mixed-tenure homes.
RBL has utilised a precast concrete engineered foundation solution for this project, accelerating the build program, reducing on site costs, and mitigating spoil – all crucial elements of value engineering and to support our sustainability mission – to reduce our carbon footprint by 40% by 2030.
“We are excited to be part of the Dracan Village project, especially with the site being our former headquarters. It’s great to see the transformation! By utilising our offsite manufactured and a fully engineered solution, we have been able to provide a robust foundation that reduces environmental impact but meets the clients demanding program. Delivering this volume of foundations in the time frame has its challenges and has been achieved due to the dedication of our team and the support of all at Countryside Partnerships working together ” stated Gareth Griffiths, Midlands Area Manager at RBL.
The team has successfully installed over 5,800 piles (Driven Precast Concrete Piles and Driven Steel Tubular Piles) and over 24,000 linear meters of RBeam, showcasing the company’s expertise and precision in executing large-scale projects on brownfield sites with challenging geotechnical conditions.
“Countryside Partnerships has successfully worked with RBL on a number of residential developments that have required specialist foundation solutions. These brownfield development schemes raised several wide-ranging technical challenges, and the support and advice we have been provided have been key to Countryside being able to offer beautiful new homes to our partnership clients. As result of our successful collaboration, we would consider RBL as a valued partner.” Commented Phil McHugh, Managing Director at Countryside Properties.
The Dracan Village project represents a milestone in the company’s legacy. As Midlands’ largest brownfield development, it exemplifies RBL’s in-house capabilities and ability meet client requirements.
