Design Estimating Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the estimating team working on commercial projects within the South Central region. The successful candidate will have significant design experience and be competent designing bearing piles, tension piles laterally loaded piles and retaining walls. The individual will assist in the management of incoming piling enquiries, including assessment of opportunities and allocation of tenders/designs and includes estimating, tendering and client interaction / negotiation to the point where orders are secured, and provide ongoing support throughout the life of a project if required.
The successful candidate will also act as a mentor to the junior members of the team and help with their training and development. There will be some work providing support dealing with site issues as and when these arise. This includes contract redesigns, rectification of design issues and liaising with external approving authorities and Engineers if required.

- Knowledge of Industry Standards – Awareness of ICE or GeolSoc guidelines and best practices.
- Software Proficiency – Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Plaxis, or similar tools.
- Health & Safety Awareness – Understanding of site safety and risk management principles.
- Commercial Awareness – Basic knowledge of business operations, contracts, and project costing.
- Problem-Solving Mindset – Proactive approach to identifying and resolving engineering challenges.
- Site Experience (Desirable but Not Essential) – Any prior exposure to construction sites or engineering projects.
- Qualification - Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or another relevant subject.
