Are you a Quantity Surveyor, with an interest in construction law, looking for your next career move. Based in the midlands, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to initially provide support to our projects in the South East, but also provide support where required to our Midlands region. For the right candidate this opportunity has the ability to lead to quick career progression including further study in construction law if required. Your role will be predominantly focused on building relationships with our customers to ensure timely negotiation of contracts as well as providing support and guidance to our operations teams on cost control and legal advice.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high degree of aptitude in the following skills:
- Traditional quantity surveying experience, including measurement, valuation, CVR, change management,
- Attention to detail and able to read and understand complex contracts,
- Experience of JCT and NEC forms of contract,
- Strong negotiation ability and able to think under pressure,
Minimum requirements:
- Degree in quantity surveying or law and / or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Extensive project experience
