We are looking for a QS to be based from either our Jarrow or Normanton office to provide a timely, fully comprehensive commercial/financial service to the business unit, supporting the regional manager and commercial director, to ensure commercial risk exposure is mitigated in line with Company policy, through robust contract review and negotiation. The role also requires providing full support to the regional team with the preparation of monthly valuations and payment applications plus reviewing and compiling internal management reports.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Appropriate degree/ HND level qualification (Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil engineering etc)
- Proven track record in a similar role
- Understanding of market conditions and sectors
- Strong communication skills, ability to work on own initiative and excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrable experience of working in the construction industry is preferred.
