Quality Technician

We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician at our precast concrete factory for a major infrastructure project.

You will be responsible for overseeing the progression of external (Client) NCR’s, ensuring they are raised within the clients Common Data Environment (CDE) in a timely and consistent fashion and that appropriate remedial actions are taken, and evidence is recorded.

The accurate recording of defects and repair methodologies adopted during remedial works is a critical part of the production process and to the release of product to site.

The Quality Technician will be required to proactively engage with the production team, third party inspectors and the client with regard to the management of non-conforming product, providing assurance and confidence that products are being effectively managed and repaired in accordance with approved repair procedure

Main Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Promote a Safety-First culture.
  • Assist with Post pour inspection activities to ensure that any defects are properly classified and where required external NCRs are raised capturing the defect details.
  • Oversee the progression of external (Client) NCR’s, ensuring they are raised within the clients Common Data Environment (CDE) Business Collaborator (BC) a timely and consistent fashion, ensuring that appropriate remedial actions are taken, and evidence is recorded.
  • Engage with the production team ensuring the relevant and agreed repair methodologies are implemented and drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Engage with the client regarding non-conforming product, ensuring time and project critical assets are progressed to meet the client’s delivery schedule.
  • Assistance with the maintenance of CE/UKCA marking and CARES certification through effective process control.
  • Liaise with 3rd party inspectors regarding non-conforming IL3 assets and proposed repair methodologies.
