Roger Bullivant is a Health & Safety Winner
Foundation Engineers Roger Bullivant Limited (RB) has been recognised by two of the world’s leading health and safety organisations for the company’s ongoing commitment to protecting employees from injury and ill health at work.
The British Safety Council awarded RB the International Safety Award and this was closely followed by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) awarding the company their Gold Award. This was the first time RB had applied for the awards, so it was a fantastic result to win and especially to achieve the top Gold status by RoSPA
Neal Stone, acting Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated RB on the success:
“On behalf of the Trustees and staff of the British Safety Council we warmly congratulate Roger Bullivant and their employees on gaining our International Safety Award for 2015. All of their employees have made this award possible, which recognises their commitment to preventing injury and ill health in the workplace.”
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Roger Bullivant, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”
RB SHEQ Manager Paul Smith said the two awards were a fantastic achievement and recognised the company’s commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
“ The ongoing commitment to improving the safety culture within the business is clear for all to see and only with this continued dedication to the employees can we hope to ensure a safer working environment for the Roger Bullivant ‘family’ throughout all our operations.”
“The two awards also add to the successful certification of our management system to OHSAS 18001:2007, the standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management by BSi,” Paul added.
RB Managing Director Gary Farnell also congratulated the SHEQ team.
“These awards are a great accolade for the business and clearly demonstrate the hard work and dedication the team is continuing to provide to this company,” he said.
